Q: I AM INTERESTED IN YOUR COLORADO MOCCASIN SHEEPSKIN SLIPPERS WITH THE TRACTION
RUBBER SOLE, DO YOU MAKE THESE IN MEN'S SIZE 10 4E WIDTH? I SUFFER EACH NIGHT
WITH EDEMA AND I AM LOOKING FOR SOME RELIEF. RPM
Thanks for the interest. I think that you would be most comfortable in a custom made pair...I have had good luck with edema and swelling problems by modifying my pattern somewhat to make the top bigger and the opening bigger. I could do this for you, but there is a $25 custom fee. Because it not an option you can order on the web site, you can call us at
1 888 479 2244
and let us know that you would like to continue with the custom wide size 10 men's and we can process your order on the phone, Thanks
Q: my husband is a wide 9 1/2 what size do you recommend?
A: We can accommodate up to a EE width with our standard sizes. Widths of EEE or wider may require a custom order, which is an additional $25. I would recommend our size 9 1/2. Please indicate the width on the customer comments section, and we will pick the appropriate pair for you
Q: My husband wears a 10 12 shoe size, but his feet swell so we buy the expandable type. He is almost 92yrs, and we want to buy American, we live on our Social Security so if we pay this much we want the slipper to fit.
QUESTION: WHAT SIZE WIDTH MUST WE BUY TO GET THE RIGHT SLIPPER?
A: We can make an open cut design that would make it more comfortable for your husband at no extra cost.
Q: With the traction sole slippers is there still sheepskin on the base of the slipper on the inside? Truly, Catherine
There is sheepskin in the inside of the whole slipper.
Q: I have this style of your moccasin that I bought many years ago. I'm still wearing them, but the sheepskin in getting more matted down and the stitching is starting to wear on the toe. I just want a new pair. On the bottom it says 7 1/2, but I know they've stretched out over the years. My width of shoe is a B in regular shoes, but more recently I have purchased sz 8 in my tennis shoes and boots. I always put an insole in them. My question is then, should I still purchase the size 7 1/2 or now an 8? I don't wear socks with these slippers.
A: These do stretch out a bit after some wear, so you want to start with a snug fit. If you plan on wearing them barefoot I would say 7 1/2 would be good for you. Try on the carpet for 15 minutes with bare feet and see how they feel. If they are uncomfortably snug you can mail them in for an exchange.
Q: Hi there,
1. Does the men's crepe sole slipper provide any arch support.
2. I have narrow feet, size 10-1/2B. Will this slipper stay on my feet?
A: 1. The crepe sole Colorado Moccasin does not have any built in arch support. The 3/4" sheepskin footbed will pack down and form to your foot somewhat. We do offer built in orthotics for our rubber soled products and Santa Fe's
2.We should be able to accommodate a B width. Just put a note in the comments section of your order that you have a narrow foot, and we will find a pair that will work for you.
Q: Is any part of the slipper made in China or another country?
A: The sole on this slipper is made from a natural crepe rubber made from a rubber tree that does not grow on this continent. We import the raw material from Sri Lanka before making the sole here in our Colorado shop. All other materials are locally, USA sourced.
Q: Can these slippers be resoled?
A: The crepe rubber material is currently unavailable. I cannot produce new crepe soled slippers, nor resole old products at this time. It may take several years to re-establish an international contact for this material.
Q: does the Crepe Sole provide any traction when worn in the snow?
A: Yes, the crepe sole will provide some traction in snow and icy conditions.
Q: My husband needs new slippers that will grip hard wood floors and stairs and potentially slippery tile kitchen floor. Will these do the trick? Even if wet? He's ready to toss his LLBean wicked good slippers after sliding down a flight of stairs.
A: yes, the crepe sole is the best option for those situations.
