Materials & Construction
Every Mountie hat starts with genuine shearling sheepskin, the same all-natural material Sundance has used since 1971. The earflaps and sheepskin chin strap fold down for added coverage in cold or windy conditions, or fold up out of the way when not needed. Stitching follows the same process as the rest of Sundance's hat line, not glued with the toluene-based adhesives Sundance has moved away from.
Sizing & Fit
The Mountie is offered in five sizes based on head circumference: X Small (18 to 19.5 inches), Small (20 to 21 inches), Medium (21 to 22.5 inches), Large (22.25 to 23.75 inches), and X Large (23.75 inches and up). Customers should measure around the widest part of their head to choose the closest size.
Care
Sheepskin hats stay in the best condition when kept dry and away from direct heat sources (radiators, heating vents); light surface dirt can be brushed off once fully dry. Store the hat in its natural shape rather than compressed, so the sheepskin and earflaps keep their form between wears.
