Q: Is the sheepskin wool black throughout the boot? Is the sheepskin available in other colours?

Hi Peter.
Sorry to be slow in answering your question. The Cornice boot is the natural color sheepskin, with a black cuff added. We only use the natural sheepskin for the body of the boot because of the dyes. The natural color contains very little dye and does not bleed at all when wet, as the darker colors may. The black leather at the bottom is a cowhide second layer over the sheepskin.

The sheepskin cuff is the black color. Below that by the ankle and foot bed are the natural color. We could do a brown or natural color cuff if you would like.

The circumference for this boot at the widest part is as follows for all sizes:

23-24 is 13inches
25 is 13 3/8 inches
26 is 13 5/8 inches
27 is 14 1/8 inches
28 is 14 1/2 inches
29 is 14 7/8 inches
30 is 15 1/4 inches
31 is 15 5/8 inches

Hey Gabrielle,

You can wear them either way. Some prefer socks and others prefer bare foot. The insoles are removable and you can wash the same way as the slippers or buy replacement ones.

I would recommend a 27 CM for a ladies size 9. The fit may be slightly roomy, but extra space can be taken up with a thicker insole if needed.
