As comfortable for your wallet as they are for your feet
After one year of wear, including backpacking in the Colorado Rockies, hundreds of hours of horseback riding, and over 2,000 miles of running, the leather sole of these moccasins finally wore through and I shipped them back to Guffey CO for a replacement. They were mailed back in a week after being lovingly repaired and look good as new. Many thanks to the nice folks at Sundance Sheepskin and Leather for your prompt and friendly customer service - it has been a pleasure doing business with you.
As long as they are kept well-cleaned, and allowed to dry before being worn again after getting wet, these moccasins are incredibly comfortable and durable - no injuries or blisters to report. It is easy to make and change out insoles depending on the running surface or activity – stiff thick leather for rocks, foam for marathons on pavement, felt for winter, etc. They feel like running in slippers - perfect for relaxed long slow runs, but not as great for sprinting.
After 2,000 miles of running, I used to have a pile of around 3 pairs of stinky, non-recyclable worn-out running shoes. Now, for the same price as a single pair of nice Brooks or Nikes, I still have a pair of shoes that, with a quick repair, can be run in for at least 2000 miles more and eventually decomposed into the earth - great for the environment and my wallet. You get what you pay for - an excellent pair of moccasins from a great bunch of people.
