Deerskin beret “Guffey” style
I purchased a Guffey style beret in black back in 2018. I absolutely love it. I wore it on my trip to Italy and received many compliments. I feel a second one in tobacco is in order. Both my black and tobacco Guffey are heading to France and Italy in March. Extremely pleased.

I purchased a Guffey Beret over 15 years at Women's Expo in the Metro Detroit area. I love the hat. It is perfect for short hair styles as well as long hair. It is one that is veery stylish and you will get your money's worth. I have looked for years for this company information; as I cleaned out some old papers....I jumped for joy and will be ordering two hats; one in black and one in a tabacco brown. And the price, is perfect!!

Jean, I want to thank you folks for the 6 panel beret I just got. Whew! My last one I bought was 12-15 years back. Still good shape but getting a little funky in warmer weather. I will recycle it someday into a pouch or other goodie when it finally dies. The quality of the new one is amazing. To see how you folks have grown and refined the hat since my last one is impressive. I have been seeking out American made for years now. I have had several folks ask about my old beret and I show them the label and I am sure some follow thru to you folks. I have tinkered in leather for 50+ years and your stuff is top notch. I have my eyes on the Santa Fe Leather Moccasins next.

I wore this hat daily 6 months + out of the year for more than 10 years. Not one seam coming apart. I always get compliments and fits excellent. Now shopping for my 3rd hat as my first hat has a few battle scars from wear and tear from the street, forest, and underside of machines. Owners Barry and Jean are the nicest people too. I have sold near them at many craft shows. Always glad to see them as neighbors at any craft shows. Everyone leaving their booth happy. Potteryrob

Our deerskin berets are not lined, so you feel the supple suede side of the leather next to your skin. There is a cotton terry cloth sewn into the band that absorbs moisture.

Your berets are beautiful. I have a big head for a woman and round face. the circumference of my head is 57 cm will it work? What is diameter across the top of the berets. Anything smaller than 11 inches will not work. Thank you, Mary

Our Berrets work for most everyone. The Guffey gathered style is a bit fuller than the 6 panel, but I think either will work. Just let us know in the comment section before check out that you have a large head and we will accommodate you!

The leather hats and berets are adjustable. They fit head sizes from 21 to 24 inches. If you do not fit in this range, let me know and Imay be able to accommodate you, but this range fits at least 90% of our customers.

this seems to be a great leather beret...the 6 panel also seems to be nearest to the traditional french style that i'm looking for...but what about sizing...there's no mention of a chart that i can readily see or am i missing something? i usually wear a medium...some berets are made to easily adjust to the head by tie cords or similar which is ok...just wondering about sizing as too big or too small is not comfortable or practical...thanks...wayne
