The Canvas Guffey Hat brings Sundance's signature gathered "Guffey" shape to a lightweight, water-repellent waxed canvas produced in Scotland, with a soft brushed finish. It's hand-sewn in our Guffey, Colorado workshop and finished with an adjustable strap for a one-size-fits-most fit.
The Canvas Guffey Hat uses a lightweight waxed canvas produced in Scotland rather than Sundance's usual deerskin leather or shearling sheepskin, giving it a water-repellent, soft-brushed finish suited to wetter conditions. It keeps the same gathered "Guffey" shape and adjustable strap construction as Sundance's leather berets, just in a different material.
The Canvas Guffey Hat is one-size-fits-most, adjusted with a strap at the back rather than a numbered size chart or size selector.
Waxed canvas can be spot-cleaned with a damp cloth; avoid machine washing or high heat, which can strip the water-repellent wax finish. Re-waxing products made for canvas outerwear can help restore water repellency over time.
